A stunning original vintage travel poster issued by Belgian State Railways in the 1920’s. The poster promotes The Caves of Han-sur-Lesse, a major Belgian tourist attraction located on the outskirts of the village of Han-sur-Lesse. Stone lithography printing.

A colorful and detailed rendering from the caves by Julien Lacaze, one of the most sought after travel poster artists among collectors today. Lacaze was a landscape painter who began designing posters for the French railway companies in 1910.

***Please note that the white border is a true white. The lighting makes it look a little off.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had surface paper loss on parts of most folds, with a few tears on parts of a few folds. It had pinholes and tears around the edges, with some tears and a tax stamp in the top right corner of the image. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Please enlarge the photo to get a better understanding of the condition.

***This is an Authentic Original Vintage Poster from its time. It's not a new reproduction.
