1908 - 1998 Antique finish 10 cent coin

Celebrates 90th anniv of "First coinage in canada"

This coin is in Premium condition!!!

This listing is for the  1998 Proof 10 cent coin  which was struck as part of a set of coins that commemorate the 90th anniversary of the specimen set of coins that was minted in 1908.  Those were called "first coinage in canada".  This 10 cent coin comes from the 5 coins set that features a large format copper plated penny.  Also interesting is the use of the reverse image on the coins being that which was used in 1908 (laurel leaves etc).  They are however dated 1908 - 1998 on the reverse.  The 1998-era effigy of the Queen (with tiara) is used on the obverse.

The 10 cent coin in this listing is struck in antique finish (the original coins in 1908 were specimen finish).  The 10 cent coin is sterling silver and weighs 2.32 grams and has a diameter of 18.03 mm.

Your coin will come in  a 2 x 2 cardboard holder

Note that the photos I post in my listings are all from my own inventory.  However, for items like this one where the products are brand new from the mint and are identical the photo posted in the listing is a STOCK photo meaning that the photos represent the item you will be getting.  Normally there is almost no difference between the photo you see in the listing and the actual product you are sent. Certificate numbers (if shown in a photo) are an example of something that will not be the same in the item you receive.
