Cap Selection and Measuring
To check your lens will fit measure the external housing diameter (including any ridges) with a ruler by placing it across the middle of the lens, verify the measurement by repeating in the opposite direction, a calliper can also be used. Another simple and accurate method is to cut a thin strip of paper and wrap it around the lens housing, ensure it is tight then put a mark where it crosses the starting edge of the strip underneath it. Remove the strip and measure the distance from the starting edge to the mark you made. To get the diameter simply take this measurement and divide it by 3.14. This is the circumference to diameter calculation (see last photo).
