Approximate weight per ball bearing:

1mm = 0.004 grams per ball

2mm = 0.03 grams per ball

3mm = 0.11 grams per ball

3.5mm = 0.18 grams per ball

4mm = 0.25 grams per ball

4.5mm = 0.37 grams per ball

5mm = 0.51 grams per ball

6mm = 0.90 grams per ball

7mm = 1.40 grams per ball

8mm = 2.02 grams per ball

9mm = 3.00 grams per ball

Note: if you don't have a micrometer or calipers it can be very hard to measure the diameter of ball bearings. Unless you are sure of the size needed (e.g. from a technical drawing or manual) then place several ball bearings of the size you have in a row against a ruler and divide the total length by the count - ideally at least 10 in a row or more to get a good average diameter.

A sample is measured to ensure they are nominally the size indicated Expect something in the order of +/- 4% - if you require a precise size with no variation please purchase off a supplier that can guarantee this
