Authentic 1950’s Red &White Roller Derby Skateboard with its Original Metal Wheels and Trucks

This skateboard has been in my family since the 50’s. As a child of the 80s myself I attempted to ride it but was never successful. The small wooden board and metal wheels could put even the most avid skater on their a—!

You may see similar vintage Roller Derby boards on the platform but most are either the #10 boards or have been modified. This board is exactly the way it was originally made in the La Mirada, California plant.

ITEM CONDITION

This wood skate board is in very good vintage condition. The metal wheels and trucks are in very good shape and are the originals. There are scuff marks on the top of the skateboard, as to be expected for the age. The words "Roller Derby” are painted on the top of the skateboard in white - all original paint. The skateboard is made of wood. The wood shows wear, as shown in the photos.
