Max Verstappen made his debut for Van Amersfoort Racing in the 2014 European Formula 3 Championship.
On May 4, in his sixth Formula 3 start, he won the third race at the Hockenheimring after starting from pole position. He was also on pole in the second race, but here he had to retire before the start of the race due to a problem with his gearbox.
In total he has won 10 races, so this is his 1st victory in a official Formula Championship.
In 2019 a special edition of this special event was released in a unique 1/18 scale model.
