Beautiful Antique Meissen Imperial Germany Kaiser Reich, Wilheim II, WWI Iron Cross, Historical 1914 - 1915 Iron Cross Hand Painted Chocolate Cup & Saucer with Snake Handle.
Both pieces are in Excellent Condition with no chips, cracks, or fleabites. Gold Trim looks very nice. Both pieces are 1st Quality. Any white spots are glare.
The Saucer about 5 1/4" in diameter. The Cup measures appx 3" to the Rim and 4 1/4" to the top of the Snake Handle. The Cup measures 3" wide.
The pieces are dated 1914 1915, so I would assume that this Cup and Saucer was made a year or so before that. Both pieces have the familiar Meissen Blue Crossed Swords mark. It is in Excellent Condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or fleabites. I could find no losses to the Gold Trim. Marked with Blue Crossed Swords on the bottom as pictured.
In Researching this Cup & Saucer, I was not able to find many examples and I found none that were dated. I don't used the word 'Rare' very often as I believe that it is used far to often on eBay, however, this is Truly a Rare Cup and Saucer Set that does not show up in the Open Market very Often! It will be Securely Packed using Extra Care, with lots of Packing Materials for a Safe Arrival at Your Doorstep!!
