Extremely special and historical because this is where her career truly all began and I’ve never seen another one offered and I still love to look-Selling my extremely rare original Norma Jeane Marilyn Monroe photograph taken by Andre De Dienes in 1945 on a California highway. I believe it’s highway 101. Gelatin silver, double weight. In wonderful condition. Please disregard any shapes or shadows it is in excellent condition. Stamped on back. It’s another one from my collection from Kim Goodwin’s collection that I had planned to save my entire life. It’s very special how Andre put it in his book that it all began here. Very historical, actually touched and produced by Andre himself. Please see my other original Andre De Dienes photos and contact sheets.

This is from, if not the best, then one of the very best Marilyn Monroe photo collectors of all time, Kim Goodwin. Kim was a man of many talents, he loved and had a deep appreciation for Marilyn, he actually worked for photographer, George Barris, and chose to be paid in photographs and negatives. He was extremely talented, among many talents, he was a photographic preservationist, there are many books that credit him for the use of his photos. He was a highly skilled Marilyn doll designer, some would argue perhaps the best because his dolls looked so life like and captured Marilyn’s beauty in a way no other designer could and they had a gracefulness to them that was unparalleled, and as mentioned above contributed to many books on her. He was also a sought after, highly regarded, expert stylist/artist to the stars.
