Garden State Bulb Concord Seedless Grape Bare Roots come directly from our farms and growers in the US. They are named after the town in Massachusetts where they were first grown and they've become one of America's most popular grapes. A medium sized, delicious and heart-healthy fruit with loads of antioxidants, they are perfect for eating or making jelly and juices. Concords are one of the easiest grapes to grow, so if you are a gardening novice, these would be good to start with! Please note, it can take 1 to 3 years after planting to reach full maturity size, yielding full production of fruit.

PRODUCT NOTE: Fruit bare roots for planting may seem lifeless, but they're actually just dormant, conserving energy to survive harsh conditions like winter.

Planting Instructions:
  1. Plant grapes in the spring after the ground has thawed and there is no longer danger of frost.
  2. Choose a location with well-drained soil that receives full sun. Loosen soil prior to planting.
  3. Remove plant from packaging and lightly loosen the bottom of the root ball to release the roots. Dig a hole in loosened soil as deep as the roots and about twice as wide. Be sure the hole is large enough to encompass the roots without bending them.
  4. Place plant in hole with the roots down and the crown/top of the roots about 1"" below soil surface. Space plants 8’ apart in rows 10’ apart.
  5. Cover with soil and water well so that the soil settles. Keep soil moist during periods of dry weather but do not overwater.
Special Added Instructions:
Grape plants will produce a small amount of fruit after being planted, with more plentiful crops occurring on plants that are 2-4 years old. Grapes need a support system and regular pruning to maximize fruit production.
