First published in 1918, this passionate memoir of youth on the Argentinean pampas inspired Ernest Hemingway, among many others. Printed on Swedish hand-made paper and bound by Guillermo Kraft Limitada S.A. Quarto. The lower half of the binding is of rough hide in which the hair still remains, the upper half is of smooth rawhide with the title branded in, the sections are bound together and along the edges with rawhide things. A near fine copy, accompanied by the uncommon dust jacket. Quarto-Millenary 152. Near fine.
