Magnificent series depicting significant buildings:

  • Farmhouse, Mörbisch (Burgenland);
  • City Hall, Vienna; built between 1872 and 1883 in neo-Gothic style (architect Friedrich von Schmidt);
  • Porcia Castle, Spittal a.d. Drau (Carinthia); The Renaissance Porcia Castle was built in the first half of 16th century in the style of an Italian palazzo;
  • Housing, Karl-Marx-Hof, Vienna-Heiligenstadt; The Karl-Marx-Hof is a great municipial apartment complex (nearly 1400 apartments), designd by Karl Ehn, a pupil of the famous Austrian architect Otto Wagner, built between 1927 and 1930;
  • Lederer-Tower, Wels (Upper Austria), built in the 13th century, is the last existing of the four ancient city gates of Wels and now the landmark of the city;
  • Residence Fountain, Salzburg, , built between 1656 and 1661 probably by the Italian sculptor Tommaso di Garona;
  • Ancient Farmhouse, Pinzgau;
  • Basilica of Mariazell, the most important pilgrimage church of Austria;
  • Kornmesser House, Bruck a. d. Mur (Styria), built between 1499 and 1505 for the citizen Pankraz Kornmess, is an outstanding example of a late-Gothic secular building in Austria;
  • State parliament house, Klagenfurt, built between 1574 and 1594 by the Italian builder Antonio Verda;
  • "Rabenhof", Vienna-Erdberg, a municipial apartment complex, planned by Heinrich Schmid and Hermann Aichinger, was erected between 1925 and 1929;
  • The Mint Tower (Tyrol), part of the castle Hasegg, was finished about 1500 under archduke Sigismund of Tyrol;
  • The baroque church of Christkindl (Steyr, Upper Austria) was planned by Carlo Antonio Carlone and built by Jakob Prandtauer (1709);
  • Beethoven House, Vienna-Heiligenstadt; the composer Ludwig van Beethoven lived there (Heiligenstadt, Pfarrplatz 2) in the summer of 1817;
  • Danube Bridge, Linz;
  • The Swiss Gate was built 1552/53 by Pietro Ferrabosco; it leads to the Swiss Yard of the Vienna Hofburg;
  • Steiner Gate, Krems a.d. Donau (Lower Austria); built in 1480 and a remnant of the old town-wall of Krems;
  • Esterhazy Palace, Eisenstadt; originally a fortified castle it was rebuilt as a baroque palace in the 17th century by prince Paul I Esterhazy (architect Carlo Martino Carlone);
  • Vienna-Gate, Hainburg a.d. Danube, dates from the 13th century;
  • Control Tower, Vienna-Schwechat Airport;
  • Churer Gate, Feldkirch (Vorarlberg); part of the former town-wall of Feldkirch, built before 1270, restored 1491;
  • State parliament house, Graz; the "Landhaus" was planned by the Italian architect Domenico dell'Allio and erected between 1557 and 1565.
