Here I have created and am offering for a sale, a Large one of a kind hand made Wire Bonsai Tree Forest Sculpture. A walnut wood slab, with any gaps filled with black epoxy resin, was used to make the base. Coloured aluminium wire, twisted into shape by hand, was used to make the trees.

I have made and sold only a small handfull of trees under my branding 'K.M. Creations', this has been my most ambitious wire bonsai tree artwork so far and my first forest project, first project made in autumn leaf colours.

It took a lot of passion and patience to bring this artwork to completion:

192 hours of dedicated work,

Spread over ~2 years start to finish,

4,161 ft of aluminium wire twisted to form.

15 x 'living' trees

1 x fallen tree

4 x different colours used for leaves.

Measures:

100cm x 60cm x 60cm

The base has two larger raised sections, like islands, to the left (dominant side) and right, with a 'river' carved through the middle, with a small island located in the middle at the back, home to the smallest tree of the forest.

Inspired by my love of forests and especially river side forest walks, during the seemingly brief autumn flush of colours.

Being made from wire this is easy to bend into new position to make adjustments to suit what you want.

The tree's roots are pushed into and glued into individual holes per root to make sure they are securely attached to the base.

The wood base was purchased as a planned and dried live edge piece, it had a split and curve in it, wanting to build a nature inspired piece i kept as many natural features as i could. I processed it into the base you see and over the first year of making the trees the wood moved a little more and a small section of the resin in the split started separating from the wood. This is minor and over the last year has not moved any further, it is also not affecting the strength of piece, I therefore decided to leave it as it is.

It has several feet which can be twisted up and down to ensure it sits level.

This is a large item that I would not trust to be sent in the post, before even considering the cost of sending this. I have advertised this as collection only because of this. However, depending on the destination I would consider delivery. So if your interested and would require it to be delivered message me to discuss options. Curretly located in Bootle, Liverpool but i travel between there and fife in scotland, so delivery along that route could be possible.
