From a Beautiful Large Estate Collection of Beads.

The Chevron Bead originated in Italy. The first examples were 7 layer beads and later approximately in the 1700's were manufactured in the much more common 6 layer beads. Some were 4 layer. They are blown glass

and shaped by grinding into the wonderful shapes we see today. Several countries make chevron beads but beads such as India Chevrons typically do not have the sharp points in the star layers. T&T / the Howard Family Collection has an extensive collection of these beads compiled over 35+ years from many countries. Beads with more than small flaws will have these listed. 

Our prices are excellent and should be compared for other Top Quality Collector Beads. Many of our Minor Flaw beads compare to others "Normal Wear" beads.
