Large Roman gold-foil glass bead
1-2 century CE
Eastern Mediterranean or Persia

Segmented gold-glass bead with smooth ends. Double layers of clear glass with gold foil in between.
Bead is intact, in good condition for its age and few minor ancient losses of outer layer
