Finephoto is pleased to offer an authentic, genuine (NOT a computer scanned reprint) vintage 1936 color photo engraving (fine offset lithography) by the renowned American photographer Edward Steichen. This vintage print was produced in the mid 1930's by R.R. Donnelley & Sons of Chicago, Illinois in four color deep tone offset - a unique process developed by R.R. Donnelley to produce outstanding color fidelity. This vintage color photo engraving is guaranteed to be authentic and comes with a hand signed CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY (COA) from Finephoto. Computer scans simply cannot do justice nor render the soft color palette and rich tonality of the actual print itself. The watermark word "Finephoto" does not appear on the actual print.

In the 1930's, color photography was in its infancy and therefor color work by history's greatest photographers of that period is seldom seen. To produce color work during that time required enormous efforts but, the results could be absolutely stunning - even by today's standards. Unique color palettes of 1930's reversal/negative films (such as Dufay & Finlay) and exacting work by highly skilled etchers & separators, resulted in images that were and are unique in the history of photography. Many feel that this unique "vintage" look aesthetically surpasses today's often highly manipulated color imagery.

READY FOR FRAMING & DISPLAY! This beautiful vintage color offset process and the resulting fine prints make vintage color offset prints highly collectible and excellent vintage prints for framing.

MUSEUM QUALITY PACKING & SHIPPING! All vintage prints are expertly packed and shipped by USPS First Class Mail with Delivery Confirmation and Insurance. Secure archival packaging includes water/tear resistant carrier, custom made 275 lb. triple wall inserts, individual acid free black archival backing boards, individual ultra clear heavy duty archival print protectors and a hand signed Certificate Of Authenticity (COA) from Finephoto.
