Juan de Anchieta (1462-1523) relief of Saint Paul. Magnificent spanish renaissance carving depicting the powerful figure of Saint Paul, with the sword in his hand (partially lost). the carving was made with no doubt by the famous spanish sculptor Juan de Anchieta, who has similar figures in some retables around Spain  with the right hand touching the delicate and intrincate curls of the beard in the manner of the "Moses" of Michelangelo. This piece is a door of a 16th century shrine. In good  condition (see the pictures of details and losses) Very rare and unique piece.
