N.B. This is actually a mathematical instrument in the shape of a pocket watch.

A pedometer by Payne of London, on the white enamel dial it has PAYNE 163 NEW BOND STREET 1470 PATENT. 

The sterling silver case is hallmarked for London 1837 { please check as dating silver is not "my thing"}.  This is not working, there is a chip on the enamel dial the front of the case does not lock and there is no glass.  Please view all photographs as part of the description. The pedometer is approx'y 4.82cm in diameter.
