An utterly beautiful mid-century pendant light fitting, designed by Carl Fagerlund for the Swedish company: Orrefors, c.1965.

The quality is outstanding, with elements made from the finest brass: embracing the look of the modernist sci-fi wave perfectly with the glamorous Hollywood Regency style found in the most expensive interiors of the era.

This was and still is a designer light fitting.

The 15 cut crystal cubes that makes up the body of this shade have survived in remarkably good condition.

I have pawed over this fitting and just 3 crystals have damage.

Two have unfortunately been over-tightened over the years, and the centre screw holes are larger than they should be.

Two clear grommets now hold them securely in place and the damage is almost impossible to notice.

One has a flea bite nibble on the corner - invisible once installed.

There are some minot marks on the beautiful machine finished brass, but these again are subtle and don't effect the overall look of this wonderful light fitting.

The original manufacturers fibre washers are all still present and in place behind the crystal sections.

This light comes in completely original condition: wiring and all electrical elements completely as it was when removed.

Please note, this light has not been PAT tested and will need rewiring to the new owners requirements.

Traditionally these beautiful light fittings were designed to hang low over a dining table or as feature 'mood' lighting in an unashamedly glamorous setting.

They truly are stunning in the right interior.
