This 2023 50 cent coin is minted in specimen finish. This coin is taken from the 2023 specimen set. The coin is also double dated on the obverse with the special "Transition obverse". For the year 2023 there is not just a Queen effigy on an undated obverse for this coin. Instead the 1952-2022 double date is being used to recognize Queen Elizabeth's 70 year reign. Additionally, the four dots in a diamond configuration in the date symbolize her 70 year reign and the 4 different effigies used on our coins in that time. On the obverse for 2023 there is NO mint logo below the Susanna Blunt effigy of the Queen. It is 27.13 mm in diameter and weighs 6.27 grams. It is minted in 3 ply nickel finish plated steel. Mintage of the set is only 30,000. Your coin will be protected in a 2 x 2 cardboard holder. NO CASE OR CERTIFICATE INCLUDED.
