Available for purchase is a dome covered plate with spire handle made by Georgia potter Don McWhorter. Signed and dated 2001, the piece is from McWhorter's Rattlesnake collection - a very intricate design which closely resembles snakeskin. The piece looks similar to a covered butter dish.

Condition is very nice with no chips or cracks; appears to have been used for display only. Piece measures 8 1/4” in total height including the spire handle, plate is 8 1/4" in diameter, and dome is 6" diameter at the bottom rim. Included with the piece is a copy of an article about McWhorter and his work from Southern Accents magazine.
