Relive your childhood rides with Pluto, this 1977 Walt Disney Ride-on toy. A rare vintage Disney Productions creation, the toy was manufactured by Empire of Taboro, NC. Pluto would be great as a first dog. (You don't have to feed or walk him!) Gift your toddler with his or her own dog, one they can ride on!

Who is Pluto? A well-known cartoon dog created by The Walt Disney Company, he is Mickey Mouse's pet. Unlike many other Disney animal characters, Pluto does not talk. He is limited to facial expressions. Pluto is a yellow-orange, medium-sized, short-haired dog with black ears. A mixed breed, he first appeared as a nameless bloodhound tracking Mickey in "The Chain Gang"  on Aug. 6, 1930. Pluto's second cartoon on Oct. 23, 1930 was "The Picnic" when he was Minnie's pet named Rover. During his third appearance in "The Moose Hunt", which came out on May 3, 1931, Pluto was Mickey's pet, and had been given the name "Pluto".

Our Pluto is bright yellow with vivid green wheels and handlebar. His molded plastic body is in unblemished condition, although pieces of tape are used as reinforcement. In true bloodhound fashion, Pluto has kept his nose to the ground and worn off a little black paint. In great ride-on condition, Pluto is safe for toddlers to ride with supervision.  The green wheels are hard rubber and all parts are safely intact. Measuring 22" from nose to tail. Pluto is 17" tall and 10" wide at the handlebars. A light but sturdy toy, Pluto weighs in at just three pounds.

You'll love adopting Pluto into your family.
