This is a veteran "Five Dollar Bill" or note from the "The Central Bank of the Bahamas". These were authorized by the law of 1974 but issued in 1984.
The Commonwealth of the Bahamas is an archipelago of near 3000 islands, cays and rocks off Florida. A British possession, it became independent in 1973. In September of 2019, Hurricane Dorian struck the islands at Category 5 intensity, devastating the northwestern Bahamas.
