He also is widely known for his position as one of the pioneers in the sugar refining industry.
After creating substantial wealth he became one of the greatest art collectors of the Victorian era resulting in the birth of the world famous "Tate Gallery" in London.
The geometric lines of this elegant solid gold safety pen recall the architecture of England’s Tate museum, decorated with inlaid panels of geometric guilloche finished in red lacquer. This PoA 888 limited edition is adorned at the cap top with a ring of princess cut diamonds.
