There are no maker's marks. I believe it to be sterling but my test kit is inconclusive--extremely difficult to tell the difference between .925 and some of the European standards such as .800 and .835.  Whatever it is, it is considered "silver" where it was made.  It is in excellent vintage condition and because of the nooks and crannies and how the areas that aren't smoothed look "oxidized" I think it is really neat and a very nice replica of the lion. I forget where it came from but I seem to remember it was part of a bracelet I took apart which is English in origin, but could be wrong.

See the photographs for size and condition.  By the way, I am listing more charms and would be happy to combine shipping.
