This laptop is in absolute FULL WORKING order. It is a BEAST, in my personal experience. It has been upgraded to its maximum capacity:
a. 32 GB RAM DDR4 2400 (HyperX 2 modules dual-channel)
b. Primary SSD - Crucial 1TB (brand new with very few GB written)
c. Secondary NVMe SSD 512GB Samsung 960 Pro
d. Third SSD 256GB from Kingston
e. Thermal paste applied to CPU and GPU - new Arctic Silver MX6 (regarded as the new best thermal compund in the market)
f. Thermal putty applied to all chokes, VRAM and MOSFETS - K5 Pro (regarded as one of the best thermal pad replacement compounds in the market)
g. Brand spanking new speakers recently replaced and sounding incredible. The previous ones were a bit crackly due to a stupid staple damaging the subwoofer ¬¬
The laptop presents some minor cracks on the chasis and some repairs have been done by me (yes, I am a handy guy with good repair skills), mainly repairing the hinges using JB weld and strong epoxy compound (MSI laptops are famous for having TERRIBLE hinges) however, the repair was an absolute success and they are solid and won't break again any time soon. See attached images, PLEASE.
The battery holds approximately 30-45 mins of charge depending on the tasks. In any case, due to the power of this laptop it is not intended to be used on battery. It is very much suited as a replacement for a desktop.
I mainly used this laptop for engineering CAD workloads and intensive tasks (mathematical modeling, programming, code compiling and much more). Evidently, it can game like a champ. Throw games at it (at 1080p - medium to high quality) and it will run them smoothly.
Clearly, three keys have lost their paint, however, the keyboard is FULLY operational. Additionally, the trackpad has lost a bit of the top coating without affecting its performance. In internal screw support got desoldered (for unknows reasons), however, it does not affect the chasis rigidity. Finally, small pieces of plastic from the bottom cover have broken over the years after taking it on and off several times during multiple upgrades and repairs.
It is worth mentioning that due to the fact that it has HDMI and miniDP outputs (thanks to the GTX 1070), you can easily plug up to THREE additional monitors (if one of the monitors has DP passthrough). I had this setup in my workplace and I could not be more productive having so much visual real estate to work on. ;)
The integrated screen DOES NOT have any dead pixels or banding. Nothing. It is simply perfect and beautiful.
Keep in mind that due to its capabilities, it can get hot, however, I have not registered temps higher than 75C-80C (peak) when loading both GPU and CPU with intensive tasks. At idle, the temps never go above 55-65C (normal for this Gen of CPUs). UPDATE/CORRECTION: The temperatures are much lower than originally stated. Please see the temperatures in the second picture. The CPU sits as low as 41C!

2. I have installed basic open-source and/or free productivity apps (LibreOffice, VLC player, Comodo AV, amongs others) and thus the laptop is ready to use! Simply install your own required apps and you are ready to go

4. A battery calibration has been performed, This takes a couple of hours to do and MSI recommends doing one every 6 months at least.
5. The laptop is now fully cleaned and sanitised, properly packed in its original box and ready to ship!
6. Please pay attention to the idle temperatures after formatting: 40-46C!
