Theme of the issue: Cotton of the USSR. The magazine `USSR at the Construction Site` was published monthly, from December 1929 to 1949 inclusive, in four languages. The publication was quite expensive, using the latest technology (photomontage technique). The design used the avant-garde style developed in the 10s and 20s by Malevich, Tatlin and Lissitzky. The ambitious tasks of the magazine as the main propaganda publication required a very high-quality execution: outstanding artists, journalists, writers and photographers of that time worked in it
