This is an early pearlware or creamware child's plate from the 1820 era....it has a poem about My Mother in black overglaze print in middle, some of which is worn and hard to read....it starts out: Who drest my doll in clothes so gay And taught me pretty how to play And ---nded all I had to say, My Mother (and it went on with another few lines about My Mother)...hand painted flowers around poem and border......no maker's mark but has 3 kiln marks around outer border.....5 3/8"diameter....it has a couple hairline cracks but displays nice.......
