Antique Napoleon Bataille de Friedland Porcelain Collector Plate.

About this battle, courtesy of Wikipedia:

The Battle of Friedland (June 14, 1807) was a major engagement of the Napoleonic Wars between the armies of the French Empire commanded by Napoleon I and the armies of the Russian Empire led by Count von Bennigsen. Napoleon and the French obtained a decisive victory that routed much of the Russian army, which retreated chaotically over the Alle River by the end of the fighting.

A painter by the name of Horace Vernet, in 1833, commemorated the battle in an oil painting.  The central image on this plate is that of the oil painting.

The plate was manufactured at the Count Thun-Hohenstein factory in Austria between 1900-1919.  The technique used was a combination of transfers and hand painted gilt highlights.  This plate is in excellent condition.  There is no loss of gilt.  No chips.
It has survived the passage of time with amazing grace!  It is now available, a piece of history beautifully rendered on a plate.

I welcome all questions and requests for more photos.
