Very fine edition of 1707, considerd one of the best of that century, of the famous work by the greek geographer and hystorian Strabone.
Edition enriched by the comment of Isaac Casaubon (1559-1712), Theodor Jansson Almeloveen (1657-1712), Abraham de Blois (1679-1720), Federic Morel (1558-1630), Wilhelm Xylander (1532-1576).
The work is considered the most important scientiphic treaty of hystorical geograhy and it is considered as one of the best editions of 19th century and elogiated by Dibdin and Brunet.
Strabone, also basing on his travels, describes the inhabited regions of the world froma geographical, etnographic and hystorical point of view.
