DBR Pro air shields where created and used by Pro Racers to compete in all high level Pinewood Derby League Racing, and in the National Championship races.

Air Shields are designed to improve your Pinewood Derby car’s running times by improving the aerodynamics of the wheels. The typical improvements of using the air shields are .005-.007 in times. Airflow into the wheels causes turbulence and will slow your car. These Air Shields are designed to stop that flow of air entering into the wheels and it directs the air around the wheels. Aerodynamics plays a vital roll in a winning Pinewood Derby car. These are designed to give you an advantage over your competition, and these Air Shields are used by every Pro Racer when trying to get the most out of there aerodynamics on their race car.

The DBR Pro Air Shields are our smaller size of Air Shield and fits great for the small-lathed wheels like the Mid America (MA) 1.2-1.3g cut wheels, MA BSA Revell China wheels, and small old style (Pre 2009) BSA 2g Street Stock wheels. These Air Shields have an axle hole of .091” so you can get a perfect alignment with your Air Shield and your wheel when using a .091 axle.

These are very easy to install and use. They attach to the body with glue. Using an old wheel and axle, apply a small amount of glue to the back of the Air Shield; install the axle into your axle hole or slot. Push the axle and wheel all the way in. The axle and wheel will center the Air Guide. Allow the glue to dry and remove the axle and wheel, the Air Shield will be installed. The Air Shield is designed with clearance for the center rail of the track, this area is to be pointed down when installing the air guide.

Note: Pictures are examples only, no wheels, axles, washer, or car comes with these Air Shields.

What you get is 4 air shields only.
