10 count lot of undrilled rectangular shape mother of pearl shell MOP cabochon pieces with rounded ends. Each piece measures approximately 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch give or take (19mm x 13mm)... thickness approximately 1/16 inch (2mm). Natural shell with typical variations in color along with beautiful iridescence and luster. Small variations in size.
From a button manufacturer that shuttered in the 1940s, these are blanks that were destined to become buttons (but for some reason didn't get completed). After years of storage these had become extremely soiled but we've cleaned and polished them (no chemicals or oil) and they're ready to be used for all your many projects!
