Up for Sale is a Rare 1864 Portrait Engraving of Lieutenant General Ulysses S. Grant. J.C. Buttre Engraved Print from the Original Photo by Barr & Young. The 1865 engraving will have a different border with many more on the market. Interesting Vignette Border with Iron Clads, Wounded Soldier and Small Hot Air Balloon. Poor Condition with Stains and Paper Ripples, Backing should be acid free to prevent further damage. Does not include Glass as it was found broken so it was removed. Original Period Frame w/ Multiple Board Backing. Total of 19 3/4" x 15 1/4" and glass dimensions needed will be 17" x 13". Even with the Rarity, Price reflects condition.
