I have for sale an original black beret made by Bilberet 1940s CC41.

An original black coloured wool felt beret made by Bilberet as part of the CC41 utility scheme which was introduced during 1941. The aim of the scheme was to provide good quality at an affordable price to people from all walks of life.

A great collectable of wartime clothing and ideal for revival.

Bilberet is a brand name of Beret Industries Ltd of Cookstown, Co. Tyrone and known as the only all wool, moth-proofed Beret made in N. Ireland.

Vintage clothing comes up small compared to modern day, I have a 21 1/4” head and it fits me as it does have some stretch, as these lovely pictures show it was worn more on the side of the head and held with Bobby pins, these were a must have for the 1940s starlets.

This is in excellent condition and looks un-used.
