An unusual antique, possibly Welsh? handled pail / piggin. A coopered item made of wood slats and metal bands and featuring hand-painted decoration of yellow flowers. Sourced from a West Wales farmhouse.
Height to top of handle approx. 10", top diameter approx. 7".
CONDITION ~ There are holes, mainly to the base from woodworm, the holes are old and inactive. Otherwise, structurally sound with a good deal of age-related wear as might be expected. Displays well. Please take a good look at the pictures and feel free to ask any questions.
