For your consideration, Dr4 Watches has on offer a really cool and rare Swiss Made luxury Baume & Mercier Hampton XL Dual Time Automatic timepiece with a stunning white dial, white strap and impressively integrated six diamonds. This watch had a retail price of over $5,000 by the time you paid some tax and then walked out of the high-end luxury timepiece retailer. Of course, they likely chatted you up with an espresso, gave you some generic information on the the history of the Baume et Mercier brand, fed you with a couple pieces of Swiss chocolate and sent you on your way with a cute cardboard bag. I just save you a bunch of money.

The condition of this watch is as follows: Pre-owned in Excellent condition with box and booklet as seen in the photos. An excellent value and package and a strong "one watch" contender if you perpetually live a fun and outgoing lifestyle.

With that in mind, some additional considerations about this watch are…
1. This watch is wears true to form and is a moderately sized at 37mm x 45mm. I can recommend this watch for somebody with a man's medium sized wrist given the rectangular orientation. Most of the mass is vertical so the watch "fits" on even medium sized wrists. The brilliant white dial is simple but has a lot of presence. Note that the strap fits up to at least an 8" wrist and ultimately you cut size it to fit your wrist.
2. This is a timepiece for a stylish person. Wonderful presence for the right man but can work as an oversized play for a stylish female as well. I view this is a flashy coastal city watch --- best worn anywear near the water, in hotter weather or an evening out where an flashy but positive image is needed. The details make the watch from the stunning dial, to the impressive case and lugs to the visual treat on the back of the watch. Take it to the best restaurant in your city or any type of beach, vacation or Summer travel weather destination.
3. The build quality on this watch is extraordinary - particularly for the price. You get a Swiss movement from a recognized and well appreciated pedigree brand with a luxury history. Baume & Mercier is oft a bit quirky and that is why collectors love their watches and the fashion jewerly line has a strong, devout following. This one is less quirky than most and more about making a splash with the bold, simple dial and of course the nice finishing details.
4. The case is exceptionally well made and to me is very cosmopolitan. Again, this is a strikingly beautiful watch with a city/beach/vacation watch style of case for a discerning, successful person.
5. With the exhibition caseback you get a great look at the automatic movement and the finishing qualities that make this a fine timepiece.
6. From a complication perspective, this rocks a Big Date and a Dual Time capability. Perfect as a travel watch... think anywhere in the Carribean, Greece, Australia or just to your closest beach or lake.
7. Diamonds, when not overdone, add to the flair and value without looking tragic. These really blend in with the aesthetic of the dial but still add visual interest and some additional intrinsic value to this timepiece. From an investment perspective, the rarity, collectibility and 0.14 carats (round brilliant, near colorless, slightly included) will help this one age gracefully and potentially increase in value over time.
8. Also particularly interesting is the kind of sandy texture dial and strong broadswoard hands for the main hours and minutes. It can be a challenge to get white dials right and still have strong readibility. This one nails it as it is easy to read while being beautiful and interesting with the kind of frosted like white dial.
9. Box and manuals/paperwork as depicted round out this impressive package.
Note that this watch was also authenticated by my provider and they created a Valuation Report (which will be included) indicating an estimated retail value of $4,790. To me, this looks every part of a $3.5K+ watch in this excellent pre-owned Store Model condition.
We do not offer a warranty but will work with you to make any post-purchase repairs via advice on where to go and what to do (with no profit for us but paid for by you). Everything we sell is working fine for all functions when it leaves our facility (or more specifically the safe deposit box where our watches reside). In some cases, we can go back to our source and get the watch repaired for free based on our relationship and reputation. We should always be the first port-of-call if there is an issue. 100% delighted customers so far and we aim to keep it that way.
Please examine the pictures, what you see is what you get. The only exception is the English Bull Dog which we put in our group shots because we think it looks great.
