Vintage 1958, Original 11 x 15 Poster, 24 Hours of Le Mans, June 21-22, 1958

Vintage 1958 original 11x15 poster of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, held on June 21-22, 1958. The poster features Michel Beligond’s vibrant art and reads “24 heures du Mans 21 et 22 Juin.” These posters belonged to race car driver William P Semon Jr who competed across Europe in the 1950s and ‘60s. Four posters are available for sale in excellent to mint conditions; they have never been mounted or hung and have been stored rolled up in a poster storage tube. Apart from periodic handling to show them off, they likely haven’t seen a full day’s light since they were acquired by Mr. Semon in 1958.

POSTER #2 MINT

*** Will consider all reasonable offers! ***

This original vintage motorsports poster highlights artwork by Michel Beligond, a French automobile artist and designer whose style became the signature for Le Mans and Formula One Grand Prix races, giving their advertising, posters, programs, and other design artifacts a timeless appeal. The 1958 poster depicts a red number 24 racing car driving at high speed on the race track towards the viewer with a second sports car following closely behind.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL, so please send any questions regarding purchase beforehand. The image provided is one of my posters as I have yet to photograph each one due to less than ideal conditions for poster photography; however, all four posters are in pristine condition.
