From the veteran car this pocket watch holder would attach to the dashboard.

 The outer boss is 4.75 inches diameter (120,65mm) 

The main compartment that will hold your watch is 3.625 inches diameter (92mm)

It will hold a watch aprox 2.125 inches diameter (54mm)

The original bevelled glass is crystal clear, and the blue anti vibration velvet is also original.

From measurements this holder is probably English though would sit well in any Brass Car era Automobile.

The cover is removed by depressing the button and rotating slightly anti clockwise.

I feel this piece would be waterproof when sealed with grease or vaseline. 

From the dawn of motoring this watch holder could easily be from an aeroplane of the same era.
