The Knights of Malta, The Lazara Correspondence, by Robson Lowe.  Prior to the discovery of this archive, no facts regarding the postal rates between Malta and Italy in the 17th Century had been published.  The 18th Century letters had a larger variety of routes and these rates were charged in local currencies.  The contents of these letters are described in detail.  Many of the Knights were also collectors and discussed their acquisitions and their wants.  A very interesting monologue. Published 1987 on high quality coated paper, 32 pages, B & W illustrations, card covers.  New.
