Judging from the ornate styling of the lettering on this striking antique I’d say it’s in the vicinity of a hundred years old -- or older. As you can see, it’s taken its lumps over the decades, standard fare for street furnishings. Insofar as there’s a story behind every ding, I love it! Nothing like authenticity…
