Antique French Monks ~ Seven Deadly Sins Pipe Rack ~ Candle Holder.

Circa 1900.

Superb antique French Seven Deadly Sins pipe rack.

Characterized by monks with rather sinister faces.

 They represent Envy, Pride, Sloth, Greed, Lust, Anger, & Gluttony. There is a lovely aged metal rod between each monk where the pipe stem is inserted. There is a depression on the top of each monk so could be repurposed as a candle holder. 

Can be wall hung if desired as the back of the piece has two hooks to facilitate hanging on a wall. 

The rack is overall 19"/49cms long, 3"/ 7.5cms tall with a depth of 3.5"/ 9cms.

 Condition very good.No repairs.All original...not a copy.

 Has minor wear and tear commensurate with age, pre owned & cared for.

There are signs of wear and odd scratches with some rubbing, marking, tarnishing, surface wear etc.

Weighs 1.342 kilos unwrapped.
