Tintype of a man in uniform with a wide sash and kepi. The image shows some deterioration but is relatively clear. The uniform type is unknown to us. Good condition mat, frame and glass. The case has a broken hinge but is very similar to an Eikmeyer "suitcase style" photo case with rounded case, gold border and fancy harp clasp. Plain deep purple pillow. The Eikmeyer case is considered rare and usually shows a signature and patent date. This case has no markings.
