                Width: 2'1 cm
                Bottom: 1.4 cm
                Weight: 26 gr.
Nice brass compass to attach a pencil, which is adjusted by means of a threaded ring, from the second half of the 19th century. It has the inscription 'HELIX REGISTERED MADE IN ENGLAND' on the threaded ring.
The compass has quite a lot of quality, compared to others of this type.
There are very few compasses of this type that have a brand, since they were normally aimed at schoolchildren, and they were of very low quality, while the one in question is made quite perfectly.
The conservation is very good, and especially the steel tip that has very little rust. The patina of the brass is perfect and admirable. It is rare to find with this quality.
Very interesting as a collector's item and decorative. Spectacular in an illuminated niche, with a minimalist decoration.
Comments: Since color differences between photos and reality are unavoidable, please keep in mind that color tones in photos are not exactly the same as actual color tones. The piece presents the typical wear of its time, as well as some stains. It has small flaws. The data provided here are unverified personal opinions. SHIPMENTS ARE MADE ON MONDAYS.
