Description

This is a nice, still quite crispy, "Shilingi Mia Tano" or 500 Shillings note from the "Republic of Uganda". It was issued in and is dated 1991.
 
Beginning in 1894, the area was ruled as a “Protectorate” by the British, who established administrative law across the territory. Uganda gained independence from Britain on 9 October 1962. The period since then has been marked by intermittent conflicts.

The Note: A nice, still crisp note, it has been folded vertically but not horizontally, has no edge or body tears and no pinholes. The note will be sent in a new large currency holder that protects it. As grading is subjective, please see the pictures and judge for yourself.
