ULTRA Rare , by Betty Lou Nichols, mid~century artist that created visually her ‘own Style’ in porcelain and ceramics, is this crowned, gold metallic winged, kneeling and ‘praying/thankful and peaceful handed angel, which can double as a single, wider based candle, candleholder.

Betty Lou Nichols has had her pieces recognized in Museums. Found in “Head Vases Etc. The Artistry Of Betty Lou Nichols”, by Maddy Gordon book/price Guide, copyright 2002, on page 126, from “The Christmas Line” collection (I also have this book for sale in my listings). There was this kneeling Angel, a boy kneeling Angel and a standing Angel with a choir book/hymnal in their hands. 3 pieces.

She has no other problems, other than her crazing (please see photos) I’ve tried to show excellent examples of her all~over, clear crazing throughout.

I’ve learned that this type of crazing is typically found on Betty Lou Nichols' pottery.

It does not detract in any way from the beauty of her. She does display beautifully.

Her ‘Betty Lou Nichols’ trademark eyelashes are in excellent condition!!!

On her underside this Angel has 2 black felt pieces glued onto her, the painters initials in black paint, Betty Lou Nichols written (signed in her trademark printed style) in black paint, her original gold and silver’Betty Lou Nichols’ makers sticker and her original sales sticker from, what was a local, finer department store.

As always if you’ve paid $2.00, over the final shipping cost, I WILL REFUND IT TO YOU, UPON SHIPPING!!!
