1995 $1 Proof Silver Dollar 325th Anniversary Hudson’s Bay Company Royal Canadian Mint


This 1995 Hudson’s Bay Company Sterling Silver Dollar was issued to commemorate the 325th anniversary of the establishment of the Hudson’s Bay Company. 


The obverse is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.

The reverse design shows Médard Chouart and Pierre-Esprit Radisson, explorers and pioneers of the Company, the ship "Nonsuch" that brought the traders to the shores of Hudson Bay, and Charles Fort, the original trading post later renamed "Rupert's House".

The dollar is in its original box, and accompanied by an informative combined leaflet and certificate.
