Sinix is only other words on clock besides Quartz. There are no markings, no names to indicate whom and where it was made. I have no idea of date, period of time it represents. It has equal matt and shiny finish. It does run and does keep time accurately. The bird comes out and it makes its sounds but it has been doing it on the 20 min before the hour. I bought this in this condition and there was no way to pretest before I bought it. I ended up never using it. I have no instructions, so I am unable to know how to reset so bird comes out on the hour time. Maybe you out there knows how to do that.
