This sheet is made of 100% silky-soft, premium quality bamboo twill with the texture of a fine yet substantial sateen. The substantial weave is often called twill with a unique silky yet hefty texture. Bamboo fabric is anti-odor, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, pest resistant, static-free and eco-friendly.

Bamboo comes from plants just like other natural fabrics yet it's unlike any other fabric. It has a heavenly hand, remarkable durability and it adjusts to fluctuating temperatures ~ maintaining even warmth without overheating. Like cotton it breathes and wicks moisture but unlike cotton, the moisture evaporates into the air instead of into the fabric keeping you dry and comfortable.

Color: (opinion) Black Pearl is a medium to dark shade of Gray. It's a beautiful, true shade of gray with no stray tones like purple, green or blue.

Seller: (opinion) I've been using this brand of bamboo sheets for many years and they maintain a silky smooth feeling and are unusually durable. (I learned the hard way however that you must wash them in cold water to preserve the integrity of the fabric.) The fabric might tighten or draw-up after washing as will any non-cotton fabric but otherwise it doesn't shrink and comes out of the dryer static-free. I am so impressed with this bamboo that I would not even consider changing brands which is why I've chosen to buy from Caro Home.

Wall Street Journal: [Bamboo will]" wick away moisture, block bacteria growth and are comfortable for people with night sweats. We have seen claims about bamboo's antibacterial [properties] before and looked further. It appears the natural antibacterial properties of bamboo fabric come from an inherent quality of bamboo. Bamboo does not require the use of pesticides due to this natural anti-fungal antibacterial agent. It is rarely attacked by pests or infected by pathogen. The same natural substance that protects bamboo growing in the field, functions in the spun bamboo fibers."

Tree Huggers website: About antibacterial testing: "One hundred percent Bamboo Fabric was tested over a 24-hour incubation period with bacterial strain type Staphylococcus aureus. After the 24-hour period the numbers of live bacteria were counted in each sample. The results showed that 100% bamboo fabric exhibits 99.8% antibacterial kill rate."
