Vintage HISTORIC NEWPORT MIDDLETOWN  RHODE  ISLAND Gray Staffordshire Ironston Collector transfer Plate   Grey and while 10 1/4" plate with 7 Scenes featuring historic buildings.Made by Crown Ducal - A. G Richardson & Co of Tunstall & Cobridge in Staffordshire England. On the reverse the stamp shows  is made for Blaine Jewelers,  an old store in Middletown Connecticut in the early 1900s.The featured scenes are: The Old Stone Mill also known as The Newport Tower, a is a round stone tower located in Touro Park in Newport likely dating to the 17th century and a windmill,  The Breakers - the grandest of the Newport summer "Cottages",the 70 room villa of Cornelius Vanderbilt, Touro Synagogue - dating to 1763, America's oldest synagogue The Colony House, 1739 - the fourth oldest statehouse still standing in the US The Naval War College  US The Naval War College - a Newport feature since 1884, established in the Newport Asylum for the Poor built in 1820, Hunter House - 1748 - a formal Georgian Colonial Mansion Trinity Churchdesigned by the same architect  as the Colony House and built in 1725 in the oldest Episcopal parish in Rhode Island (itself dating to 1698)

The plate is 10 1/4" in diameter. It is in excellent condition. It shows no sign of ever having been used for dining or service, and has no associated wear. No chips, cracks, scratches or repairs.
