Look at the magnificent detail and color in the musicians. Their look is colorful, generic for the area (or anywhere else) but in Obican's art which is very unique. It is a self-standing style, very recognizable, cheerful, whimsical and always a happy creation. Jovan loved music (although he never played an instrument) and often sang while creating. He truly was a content individual, hard worker, and creative in many fields. Like all his paintings is the presence of a bird. The bird is his trademark and uses it to express love, peace, liberty, beauty, and happiness. This production took months. The printing process, strictly supervised, meticulously re-created the artwork into an original multicolored limited-edition serigraph on very heavy paper. Printed on an old European flatbed press, the finished piece grows more brilliant as colors are added on a hand pulled serigraph (silk screen) press. The final touch was the original Remarque, the artist's personal logo, incorporated in an individually executed hand signature in pencil.
