This is a mail in control module cloning service for vehicles equipped with FEM or BDC modules. Verify your module part # first before ordering to confirm your module is eligible for this service.
Purchase this FEM/BDC module cloning service if your original FEM or BDC module has failed. By cloning your original module you will receive an exact 1:1 copy of the original including hardware and programing so long as your donor module has identical part #. This is a green repair service, recycling used donor modules in order to get your vehicle back up and running on a budget! Save thousands of dollars potentially VS taking your vehicle to the dealership to have the FEM/BDC module replaced and programed.
ECU Saver cloning process involves first backing up all original data from your faulty FEM/BDC and donor module. We will then transfer your original VIN #, immobilizer ISN, software and coding to the replacement customer supplied donor module. The replacement module will be identical to original after cloning. We do not use soldering or removal of EEPROM chips off the board during cloning procedure so you can be assured that the replacement module will not be damaged physically during cloning process. After receiving the cloned module back, it will plug into the car and start right up as if it were the original module and works with the original keys.
All modules received before noon will be processed and shipped out same business day! We are open for business Monday-Friday.
USPS Priority Mail return shipping (1-4 days) is included in the purchase price. If you require faster shipping or another shipping service, we will gladly expedite shipping at additional cost. A separate invoice will be sent to you and payment must be received before the modules are returned to you.
You are responsible for sourcing a matching donor FEM or BDC module. Replacement modules can typically be sourced on eBay or car-part.com. If you cannot find a compatible module or would like to purchase a used module directly from ECU Saver, contact us with your VIN and we will check our inventory and provide pricing and availability. ECU Saver provides no warranty on used parts, however cloning procedure is guaranteed.
Verify your original faulty FEM/BDC is able to communicate with a scanner/code reader. If there is no communication with the module, we recommend to check for water damage or burn marks before trying to have the module cloned. If either of these two things are found, the module is likely unclonable. You may need to have a matching donor FEM/BDC programmed to the vehicle by injecting the DME ISN into your used donor module and have keys re-programmed to get the vehicle back up and running. If the original module cannot be cloned, you must send your original DME, keys,, original FEM/BDC, and replacement donor FEM/BDC in for the synchronization process and we will send you a link to a specialized invoice for this service.
ORDER FORM LINK:
Step 1 - Fill out the order form completely
Step 2 - Remove your FEM/BDC module from the vehicle. If you need guidance/repair instructions send us your VIN and we will send you an instructional on how to remove it from your vehicle. We have factory repair instructions as well as YouTube videos available
Step 3 - Ship your faulty FEM/BDC, donor FEM/BDC module, a working key, and DME (DME only required if cloning of original module cannot be completed).
Step 4 - Receive your FEM/BDC Modules, key, and DME (if sent) and install into the vehicle. That's it!
If you need key programming as well we can add this on to the cloning service for reduced cost. Please contact us before purchasing if you require key programming, we will direct you to a custom invoice to pay for the cloning and key programming together.
If you have one working key with emergency key blade we can program a new key and cut the emergency blade by copying your original blade.
If you do not have a working key, we must perform key programming using your FEM/BDC module, and your DME (engine control module) to perform key programming via "All Keys Lost" method. We will not be able to cut a new key blade without copying your original key blade or by decoding your door lock cylinder and cutting the new key based off the lock cylinder bitting.
Pricing for key programming:
"Add A Key" method using FEM/BDC and original working key - $120, programming a second key is only $60
"All Keys Lost" method using FEM/BDC and DME - $180, programming a second key is only $100
